User networking session: Python Tutorial (Intermediate course)

Please note that this session will be given a lecture in Japanese.

Overview

This session provides a third-place place in the field of computational science through a wide range of academic and industrial user gathering, mainly for the users of this Center. The Python tutorial is held as a support program for user networking session. For this reason, not only users of this center, but also those who belong to academic institutions and private companies and to apply the following situation.
・Those who are interested in simulation, etc.
・Those who have been "interested in but have never used a supercomputer" or those who have just started using it
・Those who are interested in programming (Python programming)

About Python Tutorial (Intermediate course)

  • This tutorial is an intermediate course, but the contents are for a beginner who has used Python before. The first session will be held hands-on based on examples of practical programming while reviewing the contents of the beginner course. In the tutorial, not only knowledge of Python but also related knowledge such as IT, Web, Internet, AI, etc. will be explained.
  • This tutorial is intended to be a tutorial development and lecturer by graduate students belonging to the center, with the cooperation of the Applied Information Systems at this center (Professor Shimojo, and Director of the Center, and Associate Professor, Susumu Date). Based on the experience of graduate students themselves, those who want to start Python from now on, those who have given up and want to try again, etc. are highly recommended. So, this is a good opportunity that you can feel free to ask questions about things you can not understand.
  •

*Note: The IDE used as a programming environment in the seminar is mainly advanced using Google Colaboratory. Google Colaboratory is free, but you will need a Google account to use it. For more information about Google Colaboratory, please click here. You can also ask questions when you join us in an IDE that supports the familiar Python.
