Transition Processes of Wall-bounded Shear Flows of Newtonian and Viscoelastic Fluids

Abstract:壁面せん断流の亜臨界乱流遷移において,その遷移過程と発現構造は複雑で,理論的アプローチが困難である.特に,ポリマー溶液などの粘弾性流体という非ニュートン流体となれば,ポリマー応力などの付加的応力やレオロジー特性時間(緩和時間)に依存してより複雑な遷移過程を呈する.本研究では,Giesekus粘弾性モデル流体流れの直接数値シミュレーションを行い,低レイノルズ数下での粘弾性による流動構造の変化や(ニュートン流体を含む)乱流遷移過程の変化を調査した.今年度は他に,テイラークエット流や,分散性粒子を含む固液二相流,OpenFOAMを用いた気液界面を含むミリスケール液滴・液膜の解析などを行った.
