Numerical Approach to the particle and nuclear physics

Abstract:核物理研究センターでは、サブアトミック世界の強い相互作用の基本原理である量子色力学(QCD)を中心に、素粒子・ハドロン・原子核物理学とその関連分野にわたる研究を、全国の共同利用研究者とともに行っている。スーパーコンピューターは、大規模計算を必要とする理論的な研究を中心に使用されて
いる。その内容は、格子QCDによる数値シミュレーション、原子核構造及びハドロン物理現象論の数値的な解法を始め、深層学習の加速器実験への応用を含む。

(i) 格子QCD
ハドロン分光学(質量などの計算)とハドロン間相互作用、クォーク間相互作用、有限温度・密度における真空の性質・状態方程式、閉じ込め・カイラル対称性の問題

(ii) 少数多体系・原子核構造
3-4核子系の精密計算、原子核密度汎関数法

(iii) 機械学習
加速器実験への応用(加速器の運転制御、Belle実験・ILC実験での信号識別・フレーバー識別、
ILC SiDカロリメータのエネルギー較正)

(iv) その他
2次元格子フェルミオン系、超新星爆発、弦理論
