Eligibility for use of large-scale computer system

Those who can use the large-scale computer system of Cybermedia Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) are as follows.

1. Academic staff of a university, junior college, college of technology or inter-university research institute or equivalent (including part-time lecturers).
2. Graduate students or equivalent.
3. Those who are exclusively engaged in research, and who are affiliated to institutions under the authority of the national government or local public organization, with the aim of academic research and the promotion of learning.
4. Except for those to whom items 1., 2. and 3. are applicable, those who are exclusively engaged in research, and who are affiliated to institutions aimed at academic research and the promotion of learning. The institutions must be approved by the Director of the Center (hereafter, “Center Director”).
5. Those who conduct academic research by receiving Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research.
6. A person who belongs to a private company that participates in joint research with the institution to which the person in item (1), item (3), or (4) belongs, and who is exclusively engaged in research.
7. Those who are affiliated with private corporations with legal personality in Japan and who have been approved by the Center Director upon screening based on screening regulations under a separately established committee (except for those to whom item 6 is applicable).
8. In addition to each item, those who are specially approved by the Center Director.
