Users who request use of HPCI shared storage in advance can mount it.

 

To mount HPCI shared storage

In the case that you login using GSI authentication

When you log in using GSI authentication, you can mount HPCI shared storage immediately because you obtain your own proxy certificate after the login.

user$ mount.hpci

After HPCI shared storage is mounted, you can access it under /gfarm/Subject ID/username.

 

Note that the subject ID in "/gfarm/Subject ID/username" is the subject ID obtained when your proposal was initially accepted the first time.

If you login using a simple password authentication

When you login using a simple password authentication, you need to download your proxy certificate to the login server before the storage mount.
Please follow the instructions below:

user$ myproxy-logon –s portal.hpci.nii.ac.jp –l HPCI-ID ←type in your HPCI-ID
Enter MyProxy pass phrase: ******** ← type in your passphrase for your proxy certificate
A credential has been received for the user: user in /tmp/x509up_u[UID].

After getting your proxy certificate, you can mount the HPCI shared storage:

user$ mount.hpci

After the HPCI shared storage is mounted, you can access it under /gfarm/Subject ID/username.

To unmount HPCI shared storage

When you do not need HPCI shared storage any more, please unmount the storage using the following command:

user$ umount.hpci
