Overview
This workshop introduces the fundamentals of parallel programming, including its methodologies and ways of thinking, for complete beginners. It also provides a simple overview of Unix, which is essential for operating large-scale computers and computing systems capable of massive parallel computation, so that even those with no prior experience can follow along without difficulty. If you have little experience with parallel systems or parallel programming but are interested in them, and are considering using them for your studies or research, we encourage you to participate.
Recommended for the Following Participants
- Students and researchers who are interested in parallel computing but do not have a general understanding of the underlying hardware and software technologies, and therefore do not know where to start.
- Those who have used Unix before but were not quite sure how it worked and found it difficult to become comfortable with it.
- Those who are not yet experienced with parallel computing but are planning to use it in their studies or research.
