Introduction to MDX II (Includes Trial Account)

Overview

In this workshop, participants will learn the basic knowledge and usage of "mdx II", a virtual server-based computing platform built on OpenStack, operated by the Collaborative Organization for Data Utilization and Social Creation Platform at the University of Osaka.
Participants who wish to do so will be offered a "trial account for the workshop," which allows free use of the mdx II system for approximately one week.
*Even if you use the workshop account, you can still apply for the one-time trial use, so please rest assured.

This workshop is highly recommended for those considering building servers or conducting research using the mdx II system.
Participation is open to everyone, including university and technical college faculty and students, as well as company employees. Please feel free to join us.

Recommended for:

  • Those who want to perform high-level computation using powerful computing resources
  • Those who lack the space or budget to install servers in their lab
  • Those who need a computing environment for a short period for research or teaching
  • Those conducting research that combines computing and web applications

*The trial account and its associated resources will be deleted after Thursday, September 4. If you have important data, please make sure to back it up before the expiration date.
- There are no qualification requirements for participation.
