Temporary Suspension of Services Due to High performance Computing System Maintenance and a Scheduled Power Outage (Jan. 11–15)

Please note that due to maintenance of High performance computing system and a scheduled power outage at D3 Center, the services including SQUID, OCTOPUS, ONION-file, and related web systems will be temporarily suspended during the periods listed below.
Please be aware that the suspension periods differ depending on the system.
 

SQUID, ONION-file

Period: from January 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to January 15, 2026, 10:00 a.m.
Details:
- All nodes and services will be stopped.
- You will not be able to log in or run jobs on either exclusive or shared resources.
- Jobs whose specified elapsed time (elapstime_req) exceeds the maintenance start time will not be executed.
- SQUID portal site will be unavailable.
- The license servers for AVS and IDL will be stopped.
 

OCTOPUS

Period: from January 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to January 13, 2026, 4:00 p.m.
Details:
- All nodes and services will be stopped.
- You will not be able to log in or run jobs on either exclusive or shared resources.
- Jobs whose specified elapsed time (elapstime_req) exceeds the maintenance start time will not be executed.
- NextCloud and the provenance management feature are unavailable.
 

WEB system

Period: from January 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to January 13, 2026, 4:00 p.m.
Details:
The following services will be stopped and will be inaccessible during this period.

 

HPCI Shibboleth Server

Period: from January 11, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to January 15, 2026, 10:00 a.m.
Details:
If Osaka University D3 Center is set as the primary center in the HPCI system, you will not be able to log in to the HPCI system during this period.
