The call for proposals for the research projects using the HPCI system including Fugaku in Period-A of FY2025 is now open. Awarded projects will run for one year from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
Details will be announced in the HPCI portal site as soon as decided, so please refer to it accordingly.
Focus Areas for FY2025
In this call for proposals, the priority areas set for the "Fugaku" general projects have been expanded to the HPCI general projects, based on government policies. The priority research areas for each project are as follows. For details, please refer to Appendix 1 of the application guidelines on the proposal page.
(a) Research and development utilizing AI and data science to address scientific and social challenges.
(b) Fundamental research and development contributing to next-generation computing.
(c) Research and development contributing to infectious disease countermeasures.

- Online submission opens: October 8, 2024
- Online submission closes: 17:00 (JST), November 6, 2024
- Announcement of the awards: Middle of February 2025
- Project Period: April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026 (one year)

Two online briefing sessions regarding the proposal submission process will be held on the following dates. Please register in advance via the proposal page.
