Abstract：The particle swarm optimization combined with first-principles calculations was performed to determine the atomic structures and stability of organic molecules in octacalcium phosphate. It was found that the lowest-energy structures have (100)-plane spacings close to experimental values, which enables us to validate our calculated results and to analyze the detailed atomic and electronic structures.
