Please note that this lecture will be conducted in Japanese.
Overview
This advanced workshop focuses on practical GPU programming techniques using OpenACC. Participants will learn how to optimize their code for better performance, explore advanced tips and strategies, and understand how to run applications in parallel using multiple GPUs.
What is a GPU?
A GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) was originally designed for graphics and video processing. Although GPUs are not well suited for complex instructions compared to CPUs, they excel at performing simple operations in parallel. This makes them highly effective for general-purpose computing (GPGPU), and they are now widely used in modern supercomputers. Programming for GPUs typically requires tools such as CUDA or OpenACC.
Who Should Attend
- Those who have taken Introduction to GPU Programming with OpenACC
- Current users of OpenACC for computational purposes
- Those who wish to accelerate or parallelize existing GPU-based programs
Important Notes
- This session will be delivered online via a video conferencing platform. Please ensure you have access to a stable internet connection.
