(Closed) Update Intel Compiler for SQUID (Feb 2)
Intel has announced a critical security vulnerability in the Intel Compiler (Intel oneAPI DPC++/C++ Compiler version prior to 2022.2.1).
INTEL-SA-00773: Intel oneAPI Toolkit software Advisory
We would like to inform you that the Intel Compiler for SQUID will be updated urgently starting from today at 1:00 PM.
Intel Compiler for OCTOPUS will be communicated at a later time.
Date: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Feb 2
- We will change the Intel Compiler loaded by "BaseCPU/2022" module from inteloneAPI 2021.4 to inteloneAPI 2023.0.
- The C++ Compiler (icpc, icpx) will no longer be available in the previous versions of intel2020u4, inteloneAPI2021.2, and inteloneAPI2021.4. The C Compiler and Fortran Compiler will still be available.
- "BaseCPU/2021" module will load intel2020u4. It will still be available as a module, but please note that the C++ Compiler will not be available as mentioned above.
- Already compiled programs can still be executed on calculation nodes. However, we recommend recompilation as the version of the compiler loaded by "BaseCPU/2022" module will be changed.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, thank you for your understanding.
