Software Updates on SQUID Following the End-of-FY2025 Maintenance
At the maintenance conducted at the end of FY2025, the software was updated as follows.
SQUID
| General-purpose CPU Node Group | GPU Node Group | Vector Node Group | Front-end Server | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OS | Rocky 8.10 | RHEL 8.10 | ||
| Compiler |
Intel oneAPI 2025.0.1→2025.3.1 |
NVIDIA HPC SDK 25.1→25.11 CUDA 12.6→13.0 cuDNN 9.8.0.87→9.20.0.48 |
NEC SDK 5.3.0→5.4.1 | The same compilers as those installed on each compute node group are available. |
| Communication Library |
Intel MPI 2021.14.0→2021.17.0 OpenMPI 4.1.8 |
OpenMPI 4.1.8 | NEC MPI 3.8.0→3.10.0 | The same communication libraries as those installed on each compute node group are available. |
| Driver | 570.133.07→590.48.01 | VEOS 3.5.0-1 | ||
| Mellanox OFED 23.10-3.2.2.0-LTS | ||||
| Storage | DDN Lustre 2.14.0-ddn162→2.14.0-ddn230 | |||
To use the latest environment, please run:
module load BaseCPU → for the General-purpose CPU Node Group (Intel compiler)
module load BaseGCC → for the General-purpose CPU Node Group (GNU compiler)
module load BaseGPU → for the GPU Node Group
module load BaseVEC → for the Vector Node Group
If you encounter runtime errors, please recompile your application in the above environment.
Intel Compiler
-
The compiler environment configured by BaseCPU/2026 remains unchanged from the previous year, namely intel oneAPI 2023.2.0 and Intel MPI 2021.11.
If you would like to use the newly installed intel oneAPI 2025.3.1 and Intel MPI 2021.17,
please run:
module load /system/apps/env/cpu/Compiler/inteloneAPI/2025.3
Python
-
Python 3.13.5 has been installed. Please use BasePy/2026 when using Python.
