We would like to inform you of our future operation schedule as follows.
The supercomputer SQUID will continue to be available during FY2026. However, its service is scheduled to be terminated on June 30, 2027.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
Regarding a successor system, no decision has been made at this time, in light of recent increases in semiconductor and storage prices, fluctuations in exchange rates, and the status of budgetary allocations at the University.
For general-purpose CPU nodes, the supercomputer OCTOPUS has already been introduced and is scheduled to remain available from the next fiscal year onward. We kindly ask you to consider using OCTOPUS.
For GPU nodes and Vector nodes, after the termination of the SQUID service, the D3 Center will no longer be able to continue providing similar computational resources. We apologize for the inconvenience, but ask that you also consider using computational resources provided by other universities or institutions, or public cloud services, as necessary.
