Because of the OCTOPUS Free Trial, how to an application for 2018 fiscal year differ depending on user type or your application status.
 

For User of SX-ACE or VCC in 2017 Fiscal year (except for user account starting with "rcnp" and "ile")

 

For User of SX-ACE or VCC in 2017 Fiscal year (user account starting with "rcnp" and "ile")

    • Please consult an administrator of rcnp or ile about an application for next fiscal year for SX-ACE or VCC.
    • Please note that user account for OCTOPUS will be stopped at the end of March 2018 and your data on file server of OCTOPUS will be deleted in same time.
    • If you want to use OCTOPUS in 2018 FY, please submit "first application for system use". we start to receive this application in April. Because we issue your new account for OCTOPUS in the case, please transfer your data on file server of OCTOPUS to local in advance and save it.

 

For Users of both OCTOPUS free trial and SX-ACE/VCC.

 

For Users of OCTOPUS free trial only

    • Please note that user account for OCTOPUS will be stopped at the end of March 2018 and your data on file server of OCTOPUS will be deleted in same time.
    • If you want to use OCTOPUS in 2018 FY, please submit "first application for system use". we start to receive this application in April. Because we issue your new account for OCTOPUS in the case, please transfer your data on file server of OCTOPUS to local in advance and save it.

 
For Users of HPCI or JHPCN or Research proposal based use

    • If your application was accepted as 2018 project, we will inform individually how to use our system.
    • If your application was not accepted as 2018 project, your account will be stopped at the end of March 2018. If you want to use our system in 2018 FY, please submit "first application for system use". we start to receive this application in April.

We accept this application by Thursday, March 29, 2018. A representative of application read the following and apply.

    • If you will not submit service application for next fiscal year, your account will be automatically stopped at the end of March 2018. If you end to use our system in this fiscal year, any application is not required.

    • We can not accept your additional resource request for this fiscal year after your submitting service application for next fiscal year. If you request an additioanl resource, please submit again service application for next fiscal year.
    • We are going to charge your usage fee in April 2018.

Please see the following page for a detail of "node-hour" and "OCTOPUS point" on our service charge. Because a service charge of OCTOPUS is different from SX-ACE and VCC, please confirm it in advance.

Available file system

We provide 3.1 PB storage for file system of OCTOPUS and 2.0 PB for SX-ACE and VCC.
Because OCTOPUS and SX-ACE/VCC has a different file system, it cannot refer directly each other. If you want to share any file between file systems, please copy that file to the other file system with scp command, etc. Please see the following page for the detail:
