概要:Neutrinos emitted during the cooling phase of proto-neutron stars following core-collapse supernova explosions are expected to provide valuable insights into the properties of nuclear matter under extreme conditions of high temperature and density, which are difficult to reproduce in terrestrial experiments.
In this study, we performed large-scale simulations of proto-neutron star cooling using supercomputing resources, adopting a set of nuclear equations of state with different values of the symmetry energy slope parameter L. We found that smaller values of L lead to longer cooling timescales, while at the same time resulting in an earlier onset of crust formation.
