素粒子・原子核物理学の数値的研究

概要:
核物理研究センターでは、サブアトミック世界の強い相互作用の基本原理である量子色力学(QCD)を中心に、素粒子・ハドロン・原子核物理学とその関連分野にわたる研究を、全国の共同利用研究者とともに行っている。スーパーコンピューターは、大規模計算を必要とする理論的な研究に使われている。その内容は、格子QCDによる数値シミュレーション、原子核構造及び反応に対する有限量子多体系の数値的な解法である。
(i) 格子QCD
ハドロン分光学(質量などの計算)とハドロン間相互作用、クォーク間相互作用、有限温度・密度における真空の性質、閉じ込め・カイラル対称性の問題
(ii) 少数多体系
3-4核子系の精密計算
(iii) 核構造中性子過剰不安定核の性質、エキゾチック原子核の集団運動
(iv) その他
非平衡系、2次元格子フェルミオン系、弦理論
