Introduction

    To continue using supercomputer systems under the "Industrial Use" in the next fiscal year, you need to apply for continuous usage application. The procedure varies depending on the amount of usage resources and the research topic. Please read the following carefully.
     

    Those who will continue to use our supercomputer systems next year

      In case the amount of computer resources and the research subject is NOT changed.

      • You do not need to resubmit the proposal application form or pledge form. Please apply for the continuous usage from the user management system.
      • Please submit the report by referring to here.

      In case the amount of computer resources and the research subject is changed.

      • If you wish to increase the amount of resources, you may be asked to resubmit the proposal application and pledge form. Please let us know first at system@cmc.osaka-u.ac.jp.
      • If you wish to reduce the amount of resources or only change the amount of additional storage, you do not need to resubmit the proposal application form or pledge form. Please apply for the continuous usage from the user management system.
      • Please submit the report by referring to here.

       

    Those who will finish using supercomputer systems in this fiscal year

    • Thank you for using our system. The account will be suspended at the end of this fiscal year. Please let us know first at system@cmc.osaka-u.ac.jp.
    • Please submit the report by referring to here.
    • In addition to the above regular reports, please submit the following final report.

continuous usage application for next fiscal year

    We accept applications for continuous use by Friday, March 22, 2024. A representative of application read the following and apply. Please click here for the application procedure and here for FAQ.
     
    [NOTICE]

      • If you will not submit service application for next fiscal year, your account will be automatically stopped at the end of March. If you end to use our system in this fiscal year, any application is not required.
      • We cannot accept additional resource request for this fiscal year after submitting application of continuous use for next fiscal year.
      • We are going to charge your usage fee in April 2024.

     

    Available computer resources

      The following computer resources are being accepted for next fiscal year.

      • SQUID shared-use
      • SQUID dedicated-use (General-purpose CPU node only)

      We have determined the "Seasonal coefficient" and "Fuel coefficient" for the 2024 fiscal year. Please refer to this for details.

FAQ

    Q.How can I end to use ?

      A.You do not have to do anything. If you would not apply continuous use application for the next fiscal year, we end your account at the end of March.
       

    Q.I use OCTOPUS in this fiscal year but want to use SQUID in the next year. How can I apply?

      A.OCTOPUS will terminate its service on March 29, 2024, at 17:00.
      You can choose SQUID in application for continuous usage.
       

    Q.I use OCTOPUS in this fiscal year but want to use SQUID in the next year. Will I not be able to access OCTOPUS?

      A.OCTOPUS will terminate its service on March 29, 2024, at 17:00.
      From April 2024 onwards, operations will be solely conducted through SQUID and ONION.
      We will be conducting a data migration for those who are currently using OCTOPUS for the fiscal year 2023 and have applied to use SQUID for the fiscal year 2024.
